CRICKETER'S WEDDINGS

As we are known as a sporting tailors we often get high profile sporting athletes coming to us for their formal wear. Most notably last year we saw a rise in cricketers coming to us for their weddings.

We found many of the cricketers went quite traditional in their wedding attire and have included some photos of the four of them.

Joe Root, England Cricket Captain.

Joe Root’s wedding planner was put together by Sweet Pea and Blossom. Their theme was classic winter wonderland and so to match that theme we went for a black dinner suit, with a velvet shawl lapel. We often do initials inside the suit, but Joe opted for their special date to be embroidered on the cuff of the shirt. We also did his son’s bespoke suit that was certainly a challenge trying to fit a 2 year old, but looked amazing smart on the big day.

If children’s wedding suits are something your wanting for your big day, do get in touch and we can show you the photos.

Jason Roy, Surrey Cricket.

His wedding attire was in similar theme to Joe Root’s however with a summer floral theme for the actual wedding. He kept his look formal and slick with the added scarf which incorporated a lovely dapper gentleman appearance in his dinner suit.

Jos Buttler, England Cricketer

Jos went for the traditional morning suit attire. Black tails with a lovely pale grey waistcoat with pale pink tie which echoed lovely romantic tones throughout the wedding. His groomsmen which included Steven Finn & Chris Woakes from the England team had their waistcoats in different pale colours of blue, yellow etc.

Carlos Brathwaite, Captain West Indies Twenty20

Carlos went for a white dinner suit with a twist; burgundy silk lapels and black bow tie and pocket square to keep the look fresh and contemporary. With his tall frame it was important to keep things coordinated and simple with black trousers and black pockets.
